Polyurethane foaming
Polyurethane foaming is related to one of the specialties of Radius Signage Ltd., the processing of plastic, which is used in addition to vacuum forming. Part of our specialist team of about half a hundred people specializes in polyurethane foaming technology, providing excellent results for our partners.
Polyurethanes represent one of the widest range of polymers, and their use is increasingly widespread in the third millennium. The inserts of the chairs, sofas and beds are in most cases soft polyurethane foam. Polyurethane foam is found, among other products, in many of the exterior and interior elements of cars, as well as in the soles of our shoes. Hard polyurethane foams are used in the insulation of household appliances, in cooling and heating units. Harder foams play a stiffening role in addition to insulation, with a variety of internal metal reinforcement components. We also manufacture components from wood hardness foams.
With the foaming technology, a cellular structure containing air or other gas is created within the solid material. Foams are formed by the chemical reaction of two-or more-component materials.
In the case of hard foams, closed cells are formed, i.e., the air remains inside the structure. This creates a rigid, incompressible material that does not break.
In the case of soft foams, the cell structure is open, i.e., the foam is compressible, and air can pass through the cell structure. The above properties may also determine for the usage of such materials.

In addition, we also manufacture the tools necessary for manufacturing. We can also perform post-processing, CNC-machining, and finishing of the products.
